Healthy Eating Active Living in NH (HEAL NH)

Housed at the Foundation for Healthy Communities, this statewide effort seeks to reduce the rates of obesity in NH.

NH Comprehensive Cancer Collaborative

The mission of this state effort is to “significantly reduce the incidence of, suffering from, and mortality due to cancer for people in New Hampshire through prevention, early detection, treatment and survivorship, and palliation.”  The Collaborative accomplishes its work through multi-disciplinary workgroups focused on primary prevention, early detection/prevention, treatment, palliation, and emerging issues.

NH Regional Public Health Networks

These 13 sub-state entities are engaging stakeholders in their regional public health (RPH)  system to expand leadership and organizational capacity to address local public health problems. Two common foci of the regional public health networks work are public health preparedness and substance abuse prevention. Many are also addressing other public health issues such as physical activity and nutrition, lead poisoning, and immunizations.  To get the name of your local RPH Network Coordinator, call Ann Crawford at the NH Dept. of Health and Humans Services at 603-271-6892.
